Good morning and happy Friday! We don’t have anything scheduled for today in mortgage or housing news, so we’re going to keep it short and sweet with just one question, is it possible that the Fed is behind the curve on removing the stimulus. There was an opinion piece out this morning by Mohamed El-Erian, formerly the CEO of PIMCO and now the chief economic advisor for Allianz, PIMCO’s parent company, voicing this same thought. If correct, there may be some anxious days ahead when the Fed attempts to catch up.
Bonds today are up, with the 10yr T-Note +9/32 to yield 1.47%. FNMA 30yr MBS 2.50% are +7/32 to $103-01, which is a 1.80% yield and +92 basis points over the 4.8yr treasury curve. Have a great day and weekend and let us know if we can help with your MBS or whole loan needs.
